Slope-Intercept Card Sort - Google Drawing

Click here for a link to a copy of the card sort.

The link above is a copy of the drawing, so feel free to change (and use) it how you like, it will not effect mine. :)

I was creating a notes template on google drawing when it occurred to me that google drawing can replace my card sorts.  Yes!!  No more paper to print, copy, cut, and laminate!!

Students simply open the copy of this google drawing, click and drag each equation on to the corresponding graph and submit their work.

  1. Can I ask a dumb question? I made of copy of the doc in Google Drive and am trying to drag the equations to the graphs, but it's dragging the entire set of equations AND graphs. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

    1. I'm not sure why this is happening. I just tried it and I can each one to move individually.

  2. Have you seen this game? http://mathhombre.blogspot.com/2011/07/linear-war.html It's related to this content and even format. Needs some punching up, but a lot of potential.

    1. How have I missed this. Your timing in perfect. We are graphing with Slope-Intercept in two of my classes. Can't wait to try it!

  3. I like using Smart Notebook software for card sorts - I love Post It Plus if your classroom has iPads, but most don't. With the SmartBoard, they can touch and drag in a small group for centers, or using devices individually with express.smarttech's website, so each kid gets their own file. This is another great, fast prep option! ~Carolyn (Learning With Tape)

    1. As of right now, no. Only the teachers know such secrets.
